Lodging An Original Will: When and Where

Are you in possession of an original will?

If so, there are certain legal requirements I want to inform you of. You must take action and lodge the original will!

The Probate Code 8200 states you must lodge the original will with the court in the county where a loved one died within 30 days of their passing. So make sure to take action if you are in possession, then send it off to the superior court in the county where the person passed away so that it is properly lodged in the time the law allows.
