Protection of Dependent Adult

As we age and we become dependent on care givers, it is easy to be taken advantage of.  In fact, the care givers are often a significantly larger part of an edlerly person than their family members.  In Callifornia, the problem with care givers taking advantage of their position and having the dependent adult change their estate plan to leave significant portions of their estate to the care giver became so apparent that legislation was enacted.
